Friday's Top 5... Crazy Lady Movies

#5: The Roommate

The Roommate is not a good movie, but it is a hilarious watch if you're with the right people. Full points to Leighton Meester for her total commitment to playing a college girl who becomes obsessed with her roommate.

#4: Obsessed

Again, not a "good" movie, but it's a pretty good watch. I mean, Idris Elba is clearly too good an actor to be stuck in movies like this, but a paycheque is a paycheque. It's the perfect movie for anyone who ever wondered what a knock down, drag out fight between Beyonce and Ali Larter might look like.

#3: Single White Female

The clear inspiration for #5 on the list, Single White Female is so thoroughly a '90s movie it's practically text book. But who could have known in 1992 that this two-hander starring Jennifer Jason Leigh and Bridget Fonda would be so enduring that just saying the title years and decades later is more than enough to evoke the outline of the plot.

#2: The Hand That Rocks The Cradle

The Hand That Rocks The Cradle almost makes it to the top of the list on the strength of the title alone. It also features one of Julianne Moore's first film performances and a pretty damn intense performance from star Rebecca De Mornay as the nanny with a thirst for vengeance.

#1: Fatal Attraction

She's not gonna be ignored, Dan. It doesn't get crazier, or better, than Glenn Close in Fatal Attraction. The movies inspired by this one (see... above) might make it seem, retroactively, trashy but remember: it was nominated for 6 Oscars (including Best Picture, back when they only singled out 5 movies for contention) for a reason.
